Well, I've had a few good scrap related things happen lately, I got banner of the week at Webster's Pages a few weeks ago and that was exciting to me.
I checked the "Once Upon A Sketch" blog a little bit ago to be surprised to see my page as one of the featured pages for the June 15th challenge! The page below is the one featured! That made my day!!!
Earlier, I was happily surprised to find that I had won the June Traditional challenge over at Webster's Pages with this layout. I won a collection of the new "Let's Celebrate" papers! I had won previously for their "Let's Celebrate" contest and won the new trim, so I'm waiting and stalking my mailman!!! The page below is the page that I won the challenge with.
And, last but not least, I recently subscribed to "Swirlydoos" and got my first kit today. It's gorgeous, so many pretty things in it! Gorgeous paper, trim, bling, stamp set, blooms, flocked rubons, lots of sparkly and pretty things!!!!
So I've had some good things happen, things that make me feel better, I've been in such a scrap slump lately, seems that my style is just outdated! I need to learn about all the new mixed media stuff, and I really need and WANT some of that cool chipboard everyone is using!! LOL!!!

Your style outdated?? Totally not! You have just such a gorgeous and classy style, which always catches my attention. And I'm definitely not the only one who thinks so. Big congrats on both your feature at OUAS and on winning the WP challenge. You totally deserve it:) And believe me, your work is stunning!
Oh Patti..I am so happy that a few things have been going your way. Please dont talk about outdated or things like that because I have seen a few great scrappers give it all up in the last few weeks and all that has been playing on my mind quite a bit! You have an amazing style. Everything is always so well placed, the colours are also amazing in everything you create.
Its not by chance that you were Top 5 out of 73!
But in all honesty..I do understand that feeling...I go through it too, and yes, as conceited as it does sound I DO feel better when I get a win or something! Gets me back on track!

Out dated?? are you kidding?? No such thing in this industry!! Patti, your work is beautiful. And we ALL get into a scrap slump sometimes. Even me. So I change that by just bringing out some inspirational products, go through a few of my favorite blogs, and start scrapping.And if you want to learn new techniques, or start using new products, go ahead and do it!!That will help you as well. And of course your work is chosen for banners and features!! It is beautiful!!
Oh Patti...there's no way your style is outdated. I'm a big fan of yours and I have been for several years. Keep your chin up and keep scrapping ;) We all get in a slump every once in awhile. Take care!!
