Prima November Challenges!!!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a beautiful Fall, the Season's are changing and with it comes some new challenges from Prima. You can find Prima's November BAP and PPP Challenges here! We would love for you to participate and share what you create with us!

I worked on the new BAP (Build A Page) challenge for the month. Here is the sketch and my interpretation.

This is a picture of my sweet niece on her wedding day! I chose a pretty pastel color palette to match the photo. I used Garden Fable papers and used the Rock Moss chalk edger. I also used beautiful flowers and leaves from the Garden Fable collection as well.
.
I used some foam dots under the photo for some addd dimension on the page.

This page was a little more streamlined than usual for me, but the sketch just inspired me to follow it pretty closely. I did flip it, but still basically followed the design. This is a wonderful sketch by the talented Riikka  Kovasin!

Anna Griffin Halloween!!!

Today I want to share some Halloween projects that I did for Anna's previous HSN appearances featuring some of her awesome Halloween goodies!!! Her Endora collection, lots of Cricut goodies, glitter paper and more!!!

This first layout uses lots of goodies from the Endora collection, so many fun embellishments in this great collection!

This uses of of the beautiful diecut papers from the Endora collection, it's glittered!!! So pretty!!!

A little paper quilting with Endora! A little fussy cutting of the paper with the spider webs too!

This one uses lots of the pretty die-cuts in the collection! And the doily patterned paper making a large rosette!

One of my favorites! Lots of pretty paper from Endora mixed with the new glitter paper cut with the Cricut Holiday content from Anna!

More Cricut goodness for this one!

More glitter paper and the Halloween dies!

A couple of cards as well!

Just love the purple glitter paper!!!!! Love orange and purple!!!

Dressing it up a little! Some non traditional Halloween colors for this one! These spiders looked so real it was hard for me to peel them from the Cricut mat! LOL!

Glitter pumpkins for this one!

I absolutely LOVE Anna's Halloween collections, they are always so pretty and versatile and have so many embellishments to choose from! Lots of fun creating!!!!

I used the Prima Palette markers to color the cast. I love the way the markers show the strokes, it looks like some type of natural stone!!!! I used blues and greens and a gorgeous coral for the heart!

Prima's October BAP!!!

October's sketch, by the one and only Riikka Kovasin, is completely amazing with a triple photo spot, condensed journaling lines, a wonderfully lowered title, and a fantastic media-filled backdrop! Our designers on both teams: Design Team and Educators LOVED it so much! here are a few samples for you to get your mojo going!

Here is my take on the challenge for this month. Please check the Prima blog to see what the rest of the DT did with the sketch too!

This is a page of our precious Granddaughter at 6 months. I used lots of Royal Menagerie products for this page. I followed the sketch almost exactly just changing a few things, I put the title over the photos and kept the rest pretty much the same.  I used the oil pastel crayons (pink) to draw circles. Then blended with a waterbrush. I added a few “splats” also! I misted the background with the Frost and Boysenberry Color Bloom sprays. I just added some blooms and sequins. I also stamped a solid cardstock around the edges to use as my background paper. A really simple page to complete!

We would LOVE to see what you create with this month's PPP or BAP! You have until October 31st to enter your Prima project! There are only three rules:
1. The project must be Prima-based. 2. The deadline is October 31st at 23:55 ET. 3. You must have FUN creating it! Ready! Set! Go!

Anna Griffin New Cricut Content!!!!

Today I want to share some projects I did for Anna's latest HSN appearance. These are using her new Cricut content "Anna's Christmas Cards & Embellishments". These images are absolutely gorgeous. And when you pair them with some of the pretty Glitter paper it makes amazing and sparkly Christmas projects!

First are a couple of layouts. The background die-cut mats, the holly and poinsettas and even the sentiment are all from the content.

This is another layout. The die-cut mat and pretty pine cone embellishments are also from the content.

For this one, I did a card to match the layout to show the versatility of the images, and the different sizes you can make them.
One last layout, I loved how the pink with the red turned out! The background die-cut, the holly leaves and ornaments are all from the content.

I also did a card to match this one!!!

I hope you check out this new cartridge and content. And check out all the other new Anna Griffin products on HSN. And don't forget she has more shows on HSN coming up in October! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!

Prima Palette Markers Versatility

Today I want to share a  project using Prima's Palette Markers. I have used them in several different ways for this. I love the vibrant colors you get with these markers. This is a layout that I did with a photo of our sweet little Granddaughter. I wanted to keep the colors lighter. I used the Palette Markers on the stamped bird and flowers and also on the diamond strip of paper.

I mixed Golden Chalk Board paint with Light Texture Paste and applied it to the stencil on the background paper. Using the light green, yellow and blue markers I made the diamond patterned stip of paper.

I used Royal Menagerie papers, blooms and embellishments on this page, the colors are so pretty and I love the blue and yellow together. I used foam dots under the little berries and colored blooms.

Here you can see a close-up of the bird. I used the light colors of blue, green and yellow on the bird, along with the orange from the Auburn collection for hte beak and feet!

The Royal Menagerie flowers are all so pretty, I love them all, and I colored the stamped images to match as closely as I could.

Here are a few more close-ups.

I loved working with these markers. I have used them before with the little Julie Nutting doll stamps, but they really do work for lots of things!!! I will be using them a lot more in the future!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it!!!

AVA 5 Months!!!

I'm so excited, today I have a couple of layouts on the Prima blog using the GORGEOUS Royal Menagerie collection! I have two layouts, one of each of our precious Granddaughters!!! First is Ava, these pics were taken on her 5 month birthday! I love how the colors match perfectly with all the lucious goodies in this collection. Lots of flowers, leaves, stamps, chippies and more! The pretty pinks, yellow, lavendar, aqua and hints of green!

Here you can see how perfectly the colors in the embellishments match the colors in the cute pictures!

I added some small blooms, leaf stamp, punched leaves and alphablend letters on this tag. I also took one of the wooden elements and used the white pastel stick to give it a whitewashed look.

I love the lavendar blooms! I did some faux stitching and used a border punch too.

Here you can see a little better, I also distressed the edges slightly with the Ingvild Bolme distressing tool.

This was a lot of fun, so many fun elements in this collection. It's one of my favorite collections ever, maybe even all time favorite!!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Please visit the Prima blog to see what else the DT has created with this collection :)
