***WOW*** Blog Hop Time

Hello everybody, it's time for the Powder Puff Girl's Blog Hop over at the WOW blog!!! I hope you play along with us, there will be wonderful prizes. And you're sure to find lots of inspiratin along the way! You should have arrived here from the gorgeous blog of Katarina!

Your next stop will be the WOW blog!!!

If you get lost along the way you can always go back to the WOW blog to find your place!!! Here: WOW

This is the layout that I did for the Hop. This is a picture of my Aunt back in the 1920's! I love how you see her as she looked on an average day! Her hat, her shoes, sitting on a "motorbike"!!!! She was a school teacher for over 40 years and lived to be almost 100!!! She was a very sweet and wise lady and I miss her a lot!!!

I used the Suzy West WOW StampSet14 Vintage stamp for this. the paper had one chandelier on it, so I used the little chandelier stamp and repeated it on the background using WOW Primary ebony . The paper also had a little crown, and it so happens that the set has a little crown as well! So I ramdomly stamped it on the background as well and embossed with Suzy West Cable Car Red from the By the Bay collection.

Here are some close-ups:

The chippie bicycle is from "Imaginarium Designs" and I embossed it with the Suzy West Pantry collection color "Pepper"!

Here is a close-up of one of the little crowns!

and one of the little chaldeliers!

This is just a closeup of the bloom cluster, I used buttons and twine and a mix of blooms from Petaloo and Prima.

I hope you have enjoyed the hop, please don't forget the last stop here at the "WOW" blog!!! Thank you so much for visiting!!!

New Challenge #50 at Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Today starts a new challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon, you can go to the blog and check out all the details and the gorgeous work from the Design Team here: Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog

Here is my project for the challenge.

I wanted to do a boy page for this. I used the ribbons from the gorgeous June Ribbon Club assortment.

I have a tip for you, if you have alpha letters, here these are the ones from the HomeTown Celebration collection, but they were all red, well I wanted black, so I took my black Zig markers and colored in the letters!!! Now I have black letters!!!

Here you can see that I used the red textured ribbon, then layered with the more narrow blue on top I also used the widest blue in the pack for the pretty bow. I used little pieces for the ties in each button of a different color! Here you see that I cut some of the stars from the patterned paper in the Moxxie "Hometown Celebration" collection and popped them up on pop dots.

Here you see a close up of the bow and some more of the ribbon, also my "faux" zig zag stitching done with my Trusty "Zig" markers!!!

Just one more closeup of the detail. The chippies are OLD, OLD Scenie Route that I had in my stash, lol!!!

I really hope you check out the challenge this time, and if you're not a member of the ribbon club, please check it out too, you get a lucious assortment every single month, and let me just say, that every month I am happily surprised!!!! Wait till you see the ones for July!!!! Check the challenge here: RRR BLOG

Thanks for stopping by!

Here are a couple of close-ups to show the detail! I used some small blooms and chippie accents for embellishments and that was it! A very simple page!

I cut some of the stars from the Moxxie "Hometown Celebration" paper and put them on pop dots, added a button and put at the top of each strip of ribbon. You can see the beautiful texture on the red ribbon!!!

New Challenge Time at RRR (Really Reasonable Ribbon)

It's time for a new challenge over at "Really Reasonable Ribbon"! This time the theme is flowers and ribbon!!! You can check the  blog for all the details here: Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog
The theme for Challenge #49 is Flowers & Ribbon. Create a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hair bow, you name it. Just be sure to follow the theme above and use ribbon/lace or trim somewhere on your project.

Here is my layout for the challenge and a little tutorial for the Jute blooms.

My ribbon and trim are ALL from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used the Bakers Twine Assortment on the little buttons. I used the Moss Jute on the blooms and the beautiful Fushia Wrinkled for the bow!

I used the gorgeous ManorHouse Creations blooms on this layout, along with some beautiful Anna Griffin papers and vellum quote stickers. I used the Lace Border strips by Anna also. You can find them all on HSN.

I used the 1.5 inch Jute ribbon in Moss for this. I started with a 7" strip for each bloom.

I just held it between my thumb and pointing finger and gathered it, holding tightly in the middle.

I just secured it with a "t-pin".

Then I attached a green Manorhouse bloom in the center!!! Finished!!!!!

This was a simple little bloom to make, and you can gets lots of different looks with the different colors of Jute at RRR! And the Manorhouse blooms are just perfect, there is such a wide range of colors and sizes!!!

Thanks for stopping by and please go over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog and check the other DT projects and check out the challenge, we'd love to see your creations!
