Why Not?

Well.....I've thought about it, and I really don't know why I'm doing it, because I know there will be tons of people trying out, but Comos Cricket is having a DT contest and I totally love Cosmo Cricket.

I've heard that they like altered artists, well, I'm more of a layout kind of girl, but I did play with a couple of things and thought I might as well at least try! My lss got the new Early Bird line in, but I was so bummed because the chipboard didn't come. I played anyway!!!

I don't know who else is trying out, but I know that my good friend Julie H. is, and she would be perfect. You couldn't get a better fit for CC than her, so I'm wishing her good luck!!!

Here's the stuff that I did:

First is an envelope album, I did this with wedding photos. It was so much fun, I used some of the "Everafter" collection for it.

Next is a little box I made from paper, and decorated for cookies, I used Early Bird for this. And I painted a wooden book, and covered and decorated it with the Early Bird too. And even covered a jar of homemade jelly!!!

Last are the 2 layouts that I did. I used older paper for the "This Kiss", but I used "Early Bird" for the one of me with my Dad back in 1962!

RAK and some new photos......

Okay, I've never done a RAK on my blog before, but I've been doing some major purging and spring cleaning with my scrap stuff, and I have way too much. I thought I'd put a little package together, nothing major, nothing spectacularly new, just some mixed goodies. Anyone who leaves a comment on this post will be in a drawing for the prize. Just comment anytime between now and July 15. I will randomly choose a winner and post the winner on Thursday July 16.

Moving on, I went outside this morning to take some pics of my yard. Some of the lilies are blooming so pretty. And we have this wild vine growing on one of the side fences, it's really pretty too. Just thought I'd share! Have a great week-end!

One of my Favorite Summer projects

This is one of my all time favorite Summer projects that I've done. It's an acrylic album of Patrick when he was little, some candid and cute shots. I used Cosmo Cricket goodies and some bling for it. I especially like the pic of him in the life jacket that is swallowing him, the look on his face!!! Can't believe he's going to be married pretty soon!!! I still see him as my little boy!

More Engagement Pics!

Well, Patrick & Megan's big day is getting closer! It's August 1st, an it's sneeking up pretty fast!!! I'm a little nervous about it since I'll be gone to CHA from that Monday and come back Thursday, and the rhearsal is Friday and wedding Saturday! It's cutting it close, but he told me to go ahead and go (he's so sweet!) so I'm thinking that I will!!!

As some of you know I took engagement pics for them, and the first ones were cute, but the weather was yucky. Drizzly and cloudy and some of the pics were a little blurry. Well we went back the next week-end and I got some really good ones. I'm posting a few, I took over a hundred! I think they're so cute!!!!! And I'm so excited for them.
