January Kit Projects for Cest'Magnifique!

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a beautiful and blessed Christmas and Holiday. We are ending the year and starting with the new and I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year for you and your families (human and fur!) Today I want to share my projects for the January Cest'Magnifique Main kit. I also got the flower add-on. You can never have too many flowers!!!

First is a layout of our youngest ds on his wedding day! I used the gorgeous LemonCraft Forget Me Not papers and embellishments included in the Main kit. I used some flowers from the Main kit and also the add-on kit. The pretty blue ribbon was also in the Main kit. I love the little Bo Bunny Country Garden alpha stickers! I added a little misting to the background and stamped some leaves and that was it!

For this one I did some fussy cutting on some of the beautiful papers. The floral elements are just stunning on these. This is our dd and granddaughter! Love the sweet pic. There are mostly blues in these papers, but I pulled some of the green and green/blues in this one. I cut the little butterfly from some of the packaging and also drew an extra. I added a few little tiny punched blooms and hand drawn leaves. Also a little faux stitching. I inked the little punched blooms for some dimension and added stickles to the center.

Here are the beautiful blooms included in the Flower add-on kit:

This is another one that I did with a photo from Patrick's wedding day! I pulled from the browns/greys in the collection. I cut the beautiful blue ribbon in half for this and added some liquid pearl. Again just some hand drawn leaves. Some faux stitching and those cute little alpha stickers! All of my projects were created with only the Main kit and flower add-on!

This was done for the sketch for January. This is our precious little Kinsey Grace, she loves her little stuffed giraffe "Topper"! She hugs him and gives him kisses and takes him everywhere with her!! I used the chipboard on this one, painted it white and added liquid pearls! I used a stencil on the background to pull some of the peach color out. Added liquid pearls (again!!!).

Here is the sketch for the month:

I absolutely LOVED creating with this month's kit. The papers are so pretty and the flowers are gorgeous. The kit is so versatile as well! You can check it out here on the Cest'Magnifique blog and store. Please check to see what the DT created with this gorgeous kit!!!

TresorsdeLuxe December Challenge!!!

I didn't really have time to do the December challenge but when I saw the mood board one of the photos reminded me of my childhood. The photo of the carosel reminded me of the magical Season of Christmas when I was a child. Every Christmas for the month of December a Merry-Go-Round set up for all the children. Santa was there, they played Christmas Carols and it was decorated for Christmas. My Daddy took me to ride every year starting in 1958! I went every year until I was probably 6 years old! Didn't think much about it after that. I moved from the area over 30 years ago. I recently found out that the same Merry-Go-Round still operates every year in the same spot!!!! I was so happy to see a piece of my childhood! The picture used in my layout is one of this exact Merry-Go-Round!!!

Here is the December Mood Board:

Here is a link to the December Challenge. And here is my page!

I used lots of goodies from the TresorsdeLuxe store! The White lace and Gold trim, the pretty gem on top and the little white roses too! The paper is some REALLY old K and Company paper from my stash. The snowflakes, title and little bow are Anna Griffin. I added some white ink and some chunky glitter in the corners.

For the carosel top I used Anna Griffin metallic layers paper and embossing folder. I drew a template first and then cut the sections from the alternating colors. I folded them and attached each section from the back and used cardboard for dimension underneath.

Gold Venice Lace trim LA-144

Cest Magnifique December Kit!

Hi. I was lucky enough to join the Cest Magnifique Design Team and wanted to share my first creations. I received the December Main kit and Flower Add-on. The gorgeous papers are from Riddersholm and the embellies are gorgeous too!

This first page is a cute picture that I took of one of our four-legged kids looking out the window! I thought it looked just like she was watching for Santa!!!! I used a mixture of the gorgeous papers and blooms included in the kit, but I chose to pull the greens for this page.

This is my baby girl "Harley", another one of our four-legged kids! I chose to pull the reds for this page! I used the Prima vine and lace along with the little MME alphas on this one.

This is our precious Granddaughter last year on her very first Christmas and visit with Santa. I wanted a softer look on this page so I chose the lighter paper and embellies! I also used the pretty gold ribbon for a bow.

For this one I focused on the beautiful red blooms in the kit and some of the red berries! I had this awesome pic of the Jolly man himself and used it for this page! The only item on these pages not included in the kits was the glittery leaves. Everything else was included!

Just a Page for Fun!

I had this picture of Kinsey Grace sitting on my desk for awhile waiting to have time to scrap so I finally sat down a few minutes this afternoon with some Blue Fern papers and got it done. It's a really simple page and took maybe 30 minutes tops.

I used some new Prima Winthrop flowers. The birdcage was in my stash, an older piece of Kaisercraft wood. I added some gingham ribbon and a bow. Also a little stick pin from NikNax by Ariana Etsy.

The alphas were also some old American Crafts alphas from my stash!

The little butterfly is Anna Griffin and the other paper pieces are from the Blue Fern papers. I added a little metal key tied with twine too.

I used foam dots on some of the words on the paper for dimension.

I inked everything with a Ingvild Bolme chalk inker. I also colored the birdcage to match the ribbon and twine to balance out the darkness.

Thanks so much for visiting, I really appreciate you taking the time!

Here's the beautiful prize from Ruby Rock-It:  The Essence East Coast collection! [album not included]

There will also be a random draw for a prize from WOW as seen below:
collection of powders and molds.

And here's my project!
This is a photo of me with my Daddy in 1962. We were at our lake cabin cooking spagetti! This was one of my favorite things to do, he always let me help when we had spagetti! I got to drop the sticks of pasta into the water and help stir it!!!!! The old vintage kitchen was what inspired me to use this photo with this collection!

I decided that I would emboss some of the little die cuts, I had two packages so I first used small pop dots and layered the coffee pot, utensils, rolling pin, teapot and pie! I then embossed certain parts of each! The teapot was done with clear on the body of the pot!

I used Cable Car red on the little handles on the rolling pin!

The little utensils were the most fun, I used Platinum powder on the bottom portion of them, leaving the wooden part showing. I then punched holes in the top and tied them onto the red twine!

Here you see part of the coffee pot, I used platinum on it as well. I used alpha stickers on one of the tags that I fussy cut around.

Here you see the little teapot again and you can see where I layered the diecuts on top of each other.

Here is another close-up of the rolling pin and teapot!

and another one of the bottom of the little utensils!

Here you see the entire set of the little utensils, these were my favorite!

I hope you enjoyed my project! I had fun creating it!!!

Tresors de Luxe November Challenge

Today I wanted to share my project for the November Challenge at Tresors de Luxe. Lucy has a gorgeous mood board chosen for this month. Here it is below!

I just love the warm colors and pulled lots of inspiration from this board for my layout! The photo is our Granddaughter playing in the leaves last fall. I added a small edge with the warm golden color in the mood board.

I added lots of gold lace from Tresors with flowers and leaves in the same colors on the board. I even added water droplets from Glossy accents, and a little felt bird from Tresors to top it off!!! The little pearl stem came from Tresors as well.

Here is a close-up of my little bird!!! I added some pearl and gem accents too.

Here you see some of the gorgeous Tresors gold lace. The leaves are stamped and cut out.

Just a close up of the blooms and leaves with the glossy accents for water droplets.

November Theme for WOW

This month's theme at Wow Embossing UK is "Mixed Media"!!! Well, I'm not a mixed media scrapper so this totally pushed me out of my comfort level. It's not really that mixed media, but it is for me! LOL! This is a layout of our Granddaughter.

There are lots of WOW stamps and lots of texture here.

I started of with my background. I used the Collage floral and stamped randomly around the edges in pink, green and blue. Then I used the Cracked Leather and stamped with pink on the entire page. I also used a sponge dabber and used the same colors and inked the center of the page.

I made embossed, scalloped rosettes with inked edges and added pink decorative buttons. The photo mat is also embossed with an embossing folder.

I did the fern leaves with a stencil, mixed gel medium with green Gelato and mixed to keep some small pieces showing! Then cut out.

I used the Canvas stamp and made one of each of the same colors green, pink and blue and cut them out and used them on my background. I used foam dots for the photo mat.

I used the words from the Collage stamp and put them on foam dots as well for some dimension.

Here are a couple more close-ups. I also stenciled a couple of circle ornage patterns, you see a small piece peeking out here!

Collage Clear Stamp
Cracked Leather Clear Stamp

Other Supplies used:
