Just a Page for Fun!

I had this picture of Kinsey Grace sitting on my desk for awhile waiting to have time to scrap so I finally sat down a few minutes this afternoon with some Blue Fern papers and got it done. It's a really simple page and took maybe 30 minutes tops.

I used some new Prima Winthrop flowers. The birdcage was in my stash, an older piece of Kaisercraft wood. I added some gingham ribbon and a bow. Also a little stick pin from NikNax by Ariana Etsy.

The alphas were also some old American Crafts alphas from my stash!

The little butterfly is Anna Griffin and the other paper pieces are from the Blue Fern papers. I added a little metal key tied with twine too.

I used foam dots on some of the words on the paper for dimension.

I inked everything with a Ingvild Bolme chalk inker. I also colored the birdcage to match the ribbon and twine to balance out the darkness.

Thanks so much for visiting, I really appreciate you taking the time!

Here's the beautiful prize from Ruby Rock-It:  The Essence East Coast collection! [album not included]

There will also be a random draw for a prize from WOW as seen below:
collection of powders and molds.

And here's my project!
This is a photo of me with my Daddy in 1962. We were at our lake cabin cooking spagetti! This was one of my favorite things to do, he always let me help when we had spagetti! I got to drop the sticks of pasta into the water and help stir it!!!!! The old vintage kitchen was what inspired me to use this photo with this collection!

I decided that I would emboss some of the little die cuts, I had two packages so I first used small pop dots and layered the coffee pot, utensils, rolling pin, teapot and pie! I then embossed certain parts of each! The teapot was done with clear on the body of the pot!

I used Cable Car red on the little handles on the rolling pin!

The little utensils were the most fun, I used Platinum powder on the bottom portion of them, leaving the wooden part showing. I then punched holes in the top and tied them onto the red twine!

Here you see part of the coffee pot, I used platinum on it as well. I used alpha stickers on one of the tags that I fussy cut around.

Here you see the little teapot again and you can see where I layered the diecuts on top of each other.

Here is another close-up of the rolling pin and teapot!

and another one of the bottom of the little utensils!

Here you see the entire set of the little utensils, these were my favorite!

I hope you enjoyed my project! I had fun creating it!!!

Tresors de Luxe November Challenge

Today I wanted to share my project for the November Challenge at Tresors de Luxe. Lucy has a gorgeous mood board chosen for this month. Here it is below!

I just love the warm colors and pulled lots of inspiration from this board for my layout! The photo is our Granddaughter playing in the leaves last fall. I added a small edge with the warm golden color in the mood board.

I added lots of gold lace from Tresors with flowers and leaves in the same colors on the board. I even added water droplets from Glossy accents, and a little felt bird from Tresors to top it off!!! The little pearl stem came from Tresors as well.

Here is a close-up of my little bird!!! I added some pearl and gem accents too.

Here you see some of the gorgeous Tresors gold lace. The leaves are stamped and cut out.

Just a close up of the blooms and leaves with the glossy accents for water droplets.

November Theme for WOW

This month's theme at Wow Embossing UK is "Mixed Media"!!! Well, I'm not a mixed media scrapper so this totally pushed me out of my comfort level. It's not really that mixed media, but it is for me! LOL! This is a layout of our Granddaughter.

There are lots of WOW stamps and lots of texture here.

I started of with my background. I used the Collage floral and stamped randomly around the edges in pink, green and blue. Then I used the Cracked Leather and stamped with pink on the entire page. I also used a sponge dabber and used the same colors and inked the center of the page.

I made embossed, scalloped rosettes with inked edges and added pink decorative buttons. The photo mat is also embossed with an embossing folder.

I did the fern leaves with a stencil, mixed gel medium with green Gelato and mixed to keep some small pieces showing! Then cut out.

I used the Canvas stamp and made one of each of the same colors green, pink and blue and cut them out and used them on my background. I used foam dots for the photo mat.

I used the words from the Collage stamp and put them on foam dots as well for some dimension.

Here are a couple more close-ups. I also stenciled a couple of circle ornage patterns, you see a small piece peeking out here!

I Love Flowers!!!!

Well, anyone who knows me through my scrapping can tell you that I have always LOVED blooms!! Any kind of blooms, paper flowers, flower stickers, mulberry flowers, fabric flowers.......I've been lucky enough to be on design teams for Green Tara and Tresors'deLuxe and use their gorgeous products.

I've been doing a lot of designing lately where I can't use blooms, so I thought I would go back and share some of my favorite projects that I have created that use all sorts of blooms!!! Hope you like seeing them!

First is a favorite that I did for Tresor's last year. This has a mix of their beautiful lace along with floral 3-d stickers and Tresor's blooms as well!

This page has a lot of flowers, it's a special page of our sweet Speckles. I did this page not long after we lost our sweet girl.

This is a box that some craft store blooms came in that I altered to put wedding photos in!

With this page I was playing around with some blooms from Manor House Designs. Loved the colors of these blooms!!

This is a page of our niece's wedding. I made these blooms. (the larger cream with blue centers)

One of my favorite cards, just loved the color of those peach blooms!!!!

For this I wanted a striking combo, so I chose red with white and black!

Here is an altered wooden box that I did for Kaisercraft. I loved the way the ribbon and blooms looked together.

and this was a tiny wooden birdhouse that I did for Kaisercraft as well.

This was a card that I did for WOW Embossing Powders. Just a simple lavendar bloom!

And another red and black! I thought it was perfect for the picture and I just mixed the blooms!!!

This card makes all my favorite lists, it's my favorite card. I did it for WOW Embossing, used Websters Pages paper and some chippies and the little yellow and pink blooms just finished it off!!

My favorite color is purple, and this is our youngest son and his then fiance, now wife!! I added lots of blooms for this sweet page!

These are some of my favorite projects with flowers! I love mixing and matching and picking out color combos with my flowers. I have them in boxes. I just got an order from Scrapbook.com yesterday with some new Prima blooms that I can't wait to play with!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking time to visit my blog. I really do appreciate your time!!!!
