Another Handmade Bloom

I've been playing with making paper flowers again. The 2 large ones on this page are what this tutorial is for. They are very simple, much like the ones I did earlier, but even easier!

These are the supplies: cardstock, ink, spray glitter or glimmer mist, stylus tool, piercing tool, 1 jewel brad, circle cutters and pencil. And scissors too!
Start off by cutting 3 circles with one being slightly smaller than the other two. Draw into fourths with pencil. Cut each section as shown with 3 small scallops per petal.
Take a stylus and make several marks from center of bloom toward outer edge of each petal.

Ink the edges and center of each bloom. Place together with smaller one on top and attach with jewel brad. With liquid pearl make dots with points around center brad. Spray with glitter and you're done!!!!!

5-Petal layered Bloom Tutorial

I wanted some blooms for a page and didn't have any the right color, so I decided to try to make my own. I looked at some on some of my other pages and wanted to make something similar to the Fiesta blooms. They turned out okay, and I had several people ask how to make them, so here goes:

The yellow ones are the ones I made.

These are the only supplies that I used, circle cutter, tape, pencil, scissors and glimmer mist or spray glitter.
First, start by cutting 5 circles in graduating size, the 2 smaller ones can be the same size circle.
Next, lightly with a pencil divide the circles into 5 sections as shown below. Do this with all the circles.

Next, between the marks cut into 5 petals per circle as shown.

Next, I used a piercing tool with goop all over the end and curl all the edges inward.

Now just layer each one on top of the other and play with the petals to adjust to your liking.

Last, spray with glimmer mist or spray glitter. You may choose any type center you wish!

Here are a few that I've done so far:

I have a couple of layouts that I did for EMI with the BoBunny Mama-Razzi paper. I've had it a while, but been so busy. I finally got to play and got these 2 pages done. The paper is really versatile, great for guy pages, but you can make it pretty too!!!!

News for People wanting MCS LE kits...

Here's some exciting news from MyCreativeScrapbook regarding the very popular LE kits. (I copied this from Gabi's blog, hope she doesn't care, but she worded it so eloquently!!! LOL!)

Some quick NEWS!!! Pam the owner of My Creative Scrapbook has let me know that she will be adding 100 new subscriptions to the fast growing membership for the Limited Edition Kit. She will be opening the shopping cart to the first 100 subscribers on June 25th. This kit is in huge demand but she's had to limit the size of the membership so that she can be sure to keep to the amazing value and quality of the kit. It's often hard for her to get the premium and unique embellishments and extra's in the larger amounts from the manufacturers, thus she's had to limit the number of kits available. When you sign up for this kit you will be getting the subscription starting Sept-Nov 2010. All I can say is this is my favourite kit! and I've never been disappointed with the gorgeous goodies in this one, you are not taking leap of faith when you order this one. To view previous LE kits you can check out this link Past LE Kits (The LE kits are labeled, just scroll down to view all the past months kits) for more information on this opportunity you can check out Pam's post HERE ..........I just wanted to give a quick little 'heads up' to my girls here so you can get a jump on this opportunity! Thanks

Lots of new stuff for EMI

As most of you know, I design for a fantastic local scrapbook store called EMI in Cumming, Georgia. Well, she is moving her store......and it's going to be awesome! I've done a few samples and I can't wait to do more, she has lots of fresh new room!!! I'll post pics when she's all moved in, she'll be carrying even more lines than ever! And she already carried more new stuff than anywhere I've seen! I'm so lucky to have a lss still close by, and everyone in the area should take advantage of having it and do everything we can to support her.

Anyway, here's a few things I've done. First is a layout done with Girls Paperie. I totally love this soft, pretty and feminine collection. This is some more wedding pics, I'm still not done with my dd's album yet!!!

Next is a page done with some Fancy Pants "Rusted Sun". This way a super quick and fun page to do, no frills, just a 15 minute page!

This is a little mini-album that I did with some MME goodies. This is just a really quick little album kit that you could use for girl, pets, anything Pretty!!! LOL!

This is one that I did with the Nikki Sivils "Willow Bee" collection. Again, this is a really simple and quick little album. This is our dd with her then fiance! Fun elements with this paper!

Bella Boulevard from MyCreativeScrapbook

MyCreativeScrapbook features the new Bella Boulevard "All Inclusive" collection in their Creative/Mini kit for June, and I just had to do a mini book with it. The embellishments are so cool, and there are so many of them!!!!! Here's a vacation mini to share.

Another Reveal at MCS!!!

Yep, another month and another reveal from MyCreativeScrapbook! I can't wait to share what Pam has in store with the June kits! I got to play with the Main and Creative kits. So many Summer goodies to play with! I'll start with the Main kit. It features MyMind's Eye, So Sophie goodies! Lots of color in these papers, really fun to work with!!!!

Nothing really different on this page, it's our dd with
our niece. The only technique on this page is the punched border, it's done with a regular border punch that I cut every 2 sections and attached under the circle! Really easy!!!!

On this page I used the alpha stickers for "LAZY" by first placing them and spraying Glimmer Mist over them, then removed them and put them beside the stencil look and layered with a "Lazy Days" chipboard piece.

Now for the Creative kit, this is Bella Boulevard's All Inclusive collection! Talk about ready for Summer! This collection is awesome! I did these pages and also the mini that I shared earlier! Great embellishments with this line!!!! I loved it!

I have another page that vanished, I'll try to get it back! LOL!!!!
